Rob Trumbour’s
practice engages in the strands of lived experience that cut across time and
bind us as humans coping in the world. Loss, absence, and vulnerability ground
his work, and shape for him, a curiosity for what it means to be.
Educated
in the fields of the fine arts and architecture, Trumbour prefers to occupy
the space between and identifies first and foremost as a maker. He is practicing artist and Associate Professor of Architecture at
Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. From 2007 to 2015 Rob was othe
founding director of the Boston-based design collaborative Artforming. Rob has
a B.F.A in Fine Arts from the University of Massachusetts, North Dartmouth, and
a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin. Rob completed
his M.F.A in in 2018 at the Massachusetts College Fine Art and Design with a
focus on installation and the time-based mediums of video, film, and sculpture.
